Human-Robot Interaction
Human–robot interaction is a multidisciplinary field with contributions from human–computer interaction, artificial intelligence, robotics, natural language processing, design, psychology and philosophy.
Robots here at CMU engage people through social and physical interactions, monitor human behavior to understand and predict the types of help they need. Some faculty focus on the topic of robot safety in work settings while others strive to create robots that can assist us in our homes.
