I build creative tools — software and hardware that help people make things. I am particularly interested in systems that operate in real-time and build user intuition. I’ve been applying these ideas to textiles fabrication and machine knitting as the leader of the Carnegie Mellon Textiles Lab; as well as to other domains including robotic painting, real-time graphics, and visual music production.
