ANA Avatar XPRIZE BRIDGING DISTANCE, TIME, AND CULTURE FOR ALL

“Calling all Carnegie Mellon inventors, creators, and scientists. Are you studying robotics, computer science, psychology, sociology, virtual immersion, sensor technologies, haptics, artificial intelligence or thinking about inventing the future?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to transport your consciousness to another part of the world, and be able to feel the place you’ve gone to? To be present in a distant place, beyond what today’s social media enables? Join us in this informational session to learn more about how XPRIZE is challenging you to think beyond the standard ways that humans connect in the world.

The $10M ANA Avatar XPRIZE is a four-year global competition focused on the development of an Avatar System that will transport a human’s senses, actions, and presence to a remote location in real time, leading to a more connected world. The ANA Avatar XPRIZE seeks to incentivize innovators around the world to integrate a range of emerging and exponential technologies to create a useful and functional physical robotic Avatar System that brings this future closer!

XPRIZE staff will be present to share the vision of the Avatar XPRIZE, and tell you how you can get involved and compete for the $10 Million prize purse. Come with your imaginations, open minds, and questions for the team!

Doors Open – 2:15pm
XPRIZE Presentation – 2:30pm
A Q&A session and networking will follow

FREE PIZZA will be provided!”
