Minutes for Friday, September 17, 2004 - Introducing the new first years, with as-yet undefined positions: Philipp Michel and Nathan Ratliff; and a new second-year, Mihail Pivtoraiko. - The IC events all went well, no problems. Perhaps not as many faculty showed up to the student-faculty party this year. - Office allocation policies were put forward, and we need to email these to the student body. - The web site needs to be updated with the FAQ, alcohol registration form and faculty info, and the tax exempt form. - Tshirts are finished being designed and orders need to be taken; we'll see if we can get RI to pay for some to be sent to alums. Ask Suzanne. - Cable now works. - NYTimes: ask Jake what's up. - RI25: we don't really need to do anything. - PSRs: Sanjeev will look into getting volunteers, Kristen and Mihail will also work on them this semester. - Finances: ask Jake. - Tom proposes a mini-tutorial on making a color-shifting LED nightlight, and needs to pick a date. - Dessert TG: Ask Dec5 what/when. - Kristen will be talking to the program committee soon. - There are now locks on cabinets: Sajid, Mark, and Nidhi have copies. - Nidhi is organizing paintball and proposed a series of student-faculty potlucks with random subsets being invited.
