  • RI Summer Scholars Program

    • The Robotics Institute Summer Scholars (RISS) Program is an intensive summer research program for talented undergraduate students. Summer Scholars have the opportunity to participate in state-of-the-art research projects, interact with a diverse research team, and to be mentored by leading faculty and technical staff. The program introduces aspiring students to dynamic research resources and methods, RI graduate education programs and research projects. The Summer Scholars program lasts 11 weeks and begins June 1st and runs until August 15th. Only scholars who are available for the entirety of that time will be considered.

    Undergraduate students from both US and international institutions are eligible to apply by completing an online application with attachments (including resume, transcripts, recommendations, and personal statement) from December 1 through January 31 to the RI Summer Scholars Program.

  • Robotics and Intelligent Systems REU
    • The Robotics and Intelligent Systems REU part of the RISS program provides funded high-quality robotics summer undergraduate research experiences, offers robust student-development programming, and provides gateways to graduate studies and career opportunities in robotics. Join us for this eleven-week program. Experience hands-on robotics research with cutting edge technologies and innovative projects!

    The application period for regular Summer Scholars is closed.


    REU applications accepted through March 10, 2013.
