Education at the robotics Institute

    Education is a core value in the Robotics Institute. We are not just a research institution. We pioneered the first robotics PhD program in 1987, and we're been expanding ever since. Now we have programs spanning all levels of education, from K-12 education all the way to the PhD level.

    • MS-RT
      • The two-year Master's of Science in Robotics Technology (MS-RT) program is composed of two one-year phases - phase one studies are at the partner's campus via distance education and phase two comprises a research project here at the institue. Learn more
    • Fifth Year MS
      • The Fifth Year Masters Program is a direct Masters program in the Robotics Institute for undergraduates enrolled at Carnegie Mellon to complete a Masters degree in their "fifth year." Learn more
    • Robotics Minor
      • The Undergraduate Minor in Robotics provides an opportunity for undergraduates at Carnegie Mellon to learn the principles and practice of robotics through theoretical studies and hands-on experience with robots.Learn more
