Dieser Artikel beschreibt ein Kollisionswarnsystems für Stadtbusse, insbesondere wie der Fahrer vor seitlichen Kollisionen gewarnt werden kann. Zwei Busse wurden mit Sensoren, Kameras, Computer, und einer Fahrer-Maschine-Schnittstelle ausgestattet um Gefahren zu erkennen und angemessene Warnungen zu geben. Eine Übersicht wird gegeben über das Projekt, die Softwarearchitektur und die Algorithmen zur Auswertung der Rohdaten. Wie die Warnungen erzeugt werden wird ausführlicher beschrieben.
