| Project Description |
The focus of this program is to provide a suite of highly capable mobile robots for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and First Responders which are very low in total ownership costs: in dollars, in maintenance time, and in deployment and recovery time.
Agile mobile bases, complete with arms and remote perception will support effective telepresence to allow human beings to stay out of harms way.
We follow a philosophy of semi-expendability, that is: reusable, but of minimal operational impact if damaged or destroyed because the low cost allows ownership of redundant units. A reasonable degree of survivability, and maximum interchangeability of components and subsystems allows field repairs and reuse of residual working parts.
Low cost is achieved through effective design and by employing inexpensive materials and processes.
