Project Description

Human Odometer is a system designed for situational awareness for firefighter tracking. Developed for the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Awareness and also Vetronics Technology Integration, Human Odometer is a configurable set of devices used for localization and position measurement. Information about a subject?s movement is tracked through GPS, motion measurement, acceleration detection, height detection, and orientation which are all interconnected to each other through a PAN (Personal Area Network) via Bluetooth.
