Project Description

Unlike the modular and very loosely coupled decomposable nature of VLSI and chemical plant design, the design of complex electro-mechanical devices is highly coupled and lacks well-defined relationships between functions and components. This project directly addresses the problems of designing highly coupled systems by providing facilities for rapidly developing design systems that integrate people, tools and information into a Collaborative Open DEsign System(CODES).
