|Biomedical Image Guidance (BIG)
Our research into the guidance of biomedical tools applies novel optics and computer vision algorithms to the design and real-time analysis of biomedical imaging modalities such as OCT and ultrasound. We use computer vision to assist human placement of biomedical scanners, and we use novel visualization of biomedical images to better guide human manipulation of tools.

We are interested in many aspects of human-robot interaction related to how humans and robots can work safely and effectively together.
|Visualization and Image Analysis (VIA)
We are developing new methods of displaying, analyzing, and haptically rendering images, primarily for medical applications.
