Research Interests

My Research Plan.

My dissertation work is in the area of real-time in-situ holographic projection of tomographic data (fetal ultrasound demonstration image
and video). More generally, though, I am interested in artificial intelligence and computer vision, especially as applied to medical/bio-robotics. I helped develop my lab's "Shells and Spheres" variable-scale statistical framework for n-dimensional image analysis, and I am working on novel extensions of the project which promise to produce more effective and efficient algorithms.

Other specific interests of mine include (but are not limited to) adding capabilities to medical robot controllers, improving existing computer-integrated surgical systems, and enabling new levels of computer disease diagnosis.
