My research interest mainly focuses on distributed planning and scheduling. This topic is approached by methodologies coming by different disciplines like artificial intelligence, operations research and multi agent systems. I am interested to least commitment frameworks where the solution is typically configured as an envelope of consistent schedules. The rational behind is to ensure robustness against execution uncertainty. I am focusing on the coordination issue that arises whenever the scheduling responsibilities are distributed to different controllers. The decoupling techniques are interesting methodologies to get coordinated schedules with the further property to be independently controllable. Within this context I am exploring the interleaving of profile-based scheduling with the temporal decoupling technique. I am also interested on constraint programming approach to tackle combinatorial optimization problems and constraint-based scheduling. |
