The Robotics Institute

I directly support the TechBridgeWorld research group and our Founder and Director M. Bernardine Dias, Assistant Research Professor in the Robotics Institute. My primary responsibilities involve extending the activities of TechBridgeWorld at Carnegie Mellon University’s campuses in Doha and Pittsburgh through strategic planning, fundraising, partnership development, field research, logistical coordination and administrative duties. I also recently completed my Master of Science degree at the Heinz College’s School of Public Policy and Management part-time while working as an employee at Carnegie Mellon.

Specific programs under TechBridgeWorld which I am involved with include iSTEP: innovative Student Technology Experience summer research internship program, the V-Unit independent study opportunity for graduate students, Project Kane work with literacy challenges utilizing computing technology, the Automated Braille Writing Tutor Project which enhances educational opportunities for visually impaired students, and Education e-Village, an online community for college and university educators around technology education course resources.
