Research interests

I am interested in the design and implementation of robust robotic locomotion in extreme environments. Robotic locomotion is distinct from other motion platforms in that it must integrate the sensing and intelligence to react and learn from the environment.

The design of an integrated mechatronic platform allows robots to transition from bulky combinations of sensing, computing, electronics, and locomotion to an elegantly integrated functional and productive robot.
