My current research focuses on capturing human preferences about human motion in a suite of computable metrics, and on validating those metrics through user study. Recent work shows a significant correlation between simple physics-based metrics and human preferences, and ongoing work is extending these results to robust and predictive filters for choosing motion to display to a user in an animation system.
Other projects including working with Jehee Lee on 3D avatar control, and working with Peter Stone at AT&T Labs on novel strategies for autonomous agents in a realistic auction.
