The development and evaluation (via psychophysical and human factors studies) of haptic (i.e., tactile and/or finger force) displays for interacting with remote and virtual environments.

Past Labs & Groups

Advanced Mechatronics Lab - Research on distributed robotics, distributed informations systems, sensor based robotics, and reconfigurable systems.

Past Projects

Dexterous Haptic Interface for Interaction with Remote/Virtual Environments - Convey finger touch and force information to a human operator
Distributed Robotics Systems - CyberScout - Tactical surveillance collaborative robotics.
Interactive Robot Programming - We are developing human-machine interfaces to allow non-experts to interact in a human manner with robots.
