Research interests

I am interested in using robotics for exploration, especially in environments unfriendly to humans, such as underwater, but particularly in extraterrestrial environments. Until we can go there, we should send robots to expand our frontiers. My current focus is on perception issues such as localization, navigation, and sensing in lunar polar crater environments where traditional vision methods are sub-optimal.
