Research interests

My research interests focus primarily on speech and education. I am especially interested in ways that speech technology can be used to facilitate and accelerate education. I am also interested in "edutatainment", educational entertainment, or software which is as much fun as a video game but as educational as reading a textbook. Currently, I am studying which help and interventions are most effective in a reading tutor for young children.
