Research interests

My research interests are in sensors and their application in robotics, medical instrumentation, and industrial process control.

Research interest keywords

display devices, graphics, image processing, inspection, and sensors

Additional Interests and Responsibilities

I am the Robotics Institute webmaster.

I also maintain the non-students RI email distribution lists, RI doorlabels - NSH and EDSH - and the RI printed directories in NSH.

Furthermore, I provide consulting, prototyping, and information technology to various labs and projects as requested.

 Miscellaneous

Current Labs & Groups [Past labs]

Intelligent Sensor, Measurement, and Control Lab - robotics for difficult measurements in difficult environments, 3D-stereoscopic display systems, and sensor-based measurement, medical, and control systems
Medical Instrumentation Lab - We are developing intelligent tools for microsurgery and minimally invasive surgery.
Tele-Supervised Autonomous Robotics - Research in the T-SAR lab focusses on providing end-to-end tools for telesupervision of autonomous robots.

Current Projects [Past projects]

Telesupervised Adaptive Ocean Sensor Fleet - We are developing a HAB Investigation Telesupervised Adaptive Sensor System (HABITASS) to address the limitations of existing systems.
