Research interests

My primary interests are algorithms and theory both from a theoretical standpoint and their applications to real systems. Currently, I'm working on the higher-level aspects of the Hans Moravec's robot vision system. Specifically, doing position correction through the matching of mulimillion element grids. On the side, I also research interpreters, programming languages, and algorithms.

Past Projects

3D Grid Maps for Mobile Robot Perception - We are developing a 3D grid approach to robot mapping that loves clutter.
Robust Navigation by Probabilistic Volumetric Sensing - We are developing sensor-based software for utility mobile robots used in industrial transport, floor maintenance, security, etc.
