Research interests

All of our ambassadors to other worlds are robotic systems that require large amounts of engineering resources to operate and scientific resources to interpret the information returned. I am interested in making these system more efficient by increasing the level of autonomy throughout the entire data collection and processing chain. This includes everything from actively determining sample locations to high level data processing techniques. Currently, I am focusing on helping scientists interpret the data by automatically learning some semantic content about the worlds we're exploring.
