Research interests

I am interested in human control of movement as applied to prosthetics. I study the motion of the fingers during grasping tasks, and am working towards implementing a human movement model in an anatomical robot hand. I am also interested in brain-machine interface and its application to the control of robotic hands.

Research interest keywords

bioengineering, human-computer interaction, motion planning, and prosthetics

Additional Interests and Responsibilities

medicine, rugby, writing, beer

Current Labs & Groups [Past labs]

Human-Robot Interaction Group - We are interested in many aspects of human-robot interaction related to how humans and robots can work safely and effectively together.

Past Projects

Sonic FlashlightTM - We are developing a method of medical visualization that merges real time ultrasound images with direct human vision.
