Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) recently announced Distinguished Service Professor of Robotics Kaigham (Ken) Gabriel as the new deputy director. Gabriel previously served as professor of electrical & computer engineering and robotics at Carnegie Mellon. He co-founded Akustica in 2001 on Pittsburgh's South Side and is recognized worldwide as the architect of the MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) industry.
