Anton Chechetka, a Ph.D. student in the Robotics Institute, received the Best Student Paper Award at the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Statistics 2010 for his paper, “Focused Belief Propagation for Query-Specific Inference.” Carlos Guestrin, associate professor of machine learning and computer science, is his adviser.
