This seminar and workshop series is targeted to the School of Computer Science and Robotics Institute graduate students, undergraduate students, post docs, faculty, staff, and local alumni. It is intended to provide a brief overview of relevant topics in entrepreneurship that are pertinent considerations to the audience as they contemplate starting a venture based on robotic technology. Each session will consist of a brief lecture on a topic, a presentation by a successful entrepreneur in the robotics area, followed by a workshop session to discuss the topic of the day as well as for the audience to discuss with the faculty and visiting entrepreneurs their proposed ideas and opportunities for potential commercialization and startup companies. This seminar is intended to be a "boot camp" either on a stand alone basis, and/or as an introduction to entrepreneurship as a precursor to 15-390, Introduction to Entrepreneurship for Computer Scientists being offered in the fall semester.

Abstract
The entrepreneurial process consists of three parts - the opportunity, the resources to pursue the opportunity, and the team that develops and executes the plan. The current seminar topic deals with the team. Topics to be covered include identifying skill sets required at each stage of company evolution from the idea stage to startup to a more mature company. Team building and sharing of ownership are addressed as is hiring and motivating employees. Teams are a key success factor in company development whether the company regardless of how the company is financed or whether it is product or service based.
